The plastic swivel hinge where the headband meets the ear cup is the weak point of the Sony WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5. It develops a hairline crack, then one day the ear cup hangs loose. Warranty often does not cover it, and an imported replacement hinge pair costs close to 1,000 THB and takes weeks to arrive.

What we make

We print replacement hinges compatible with the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5 as a left and right pair. They are made either from our own measurements or from openly licensed designs that allow commercial printing (we credit the designer). The parts are plain, with no Sony logo; this is an aftermarket repair part, not made or endorsed by Sony.

Material

PETG is tougher and less brittle than PLA, so the new hinge flexes slightly instead of cracking. We print it in black to match the headphones.
